Patrice Desilets began creating the sequel to Assassins Creed 1 by firstly gaining feedback of the public of what they liked and disliked. After looking at historic events after the Third Crusade such as the French revolution and the samurai Patrice and his team decided the best environment would be the Renaissance because of its history and how beautiful the city was. Patrice wanted to visit the city once again but this time he hired a historian who was an expert in the Renaissance. They both began exploring the city where Patrice would take photos of renaissance photos which was used for his research. Patrice does a lot of his research by books about that era in time. To me this shows that even before Patrice creates his ideas he begins research.
