Can A Video Game Lead To Murder?

Untitled

After looking at research that changes the behaviour of a person I found an interesting article about a teenager who shot 3 police officers after play months on the game Grand Theft Auto, after reading through the article it seems that after killing so many police officers in the game it had psychologically gotten inside his head and made him do the real thing. At the end of the killing of the three police officers he even stole the police car just like the video game. After being captured by the police he released this statement “Life is like a video game. Everybody’s got to die sometime.” To me this shows that Devin Moore has had psychological connections to the game he immersed himself into. I think that the avatar had an effect on Devin Moore, I believe it made him think that he was this avatar in the game he was playing. I think they I found quite strange was Take-Two Interactive (creator of Grand Theft Auto) declined a 60 minute interview, which I’m unsure why they would reject it if they are trying to defend their game.
